Trinity is tripe.

tripe
–noun
1. the first and second divisions of the stomach of a ruminant, esp. oxen, sheep, or goats, used as food.
2. Slang. something, esp. speech or writing, that is false or worthless; rubbish.

Yup, that about sums it up.

Which is a shame, as Busiek is a good writer on Astro City, sometimes even great. It's a shame he went into pure fan-boy mode, rather than trying to raise this potentially good title above the dross that DC churns out for its three main heroes just to make money.

Then again, even if was beautifully written and smart, it'd still be tripe because of the sickening, childish art.
